Oh how I LOVE Bradgate Park.
(Should I also throw in the warning/disclaimer that I’m a crazy dog lady and it took all my might to only add one photo of one dog?) I’m obsessed and it’s a problem. I get another dog in a few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for a puppy post!
So these pictures were taken a while ago and this post is a tad late up, BUT, this is the best I’ve ever seen Bradgate. It was so green, like so green. All the plants were taller than I’d ever seen them, the forests were so dense, it was just beautfiul.
We take our dogs to Bradgate a lot, doesn’t matter on the time of year because they love it as much as we do. It’s a park (woah, shokcer) but it’s full of deer, which you tend to see more of in the more autumnal months, and it attracts loads of dog walkers/horse riders/cyclists/general walkers with it’s 830 acres. There are so many different trails you can walk, along with different attractions- the tower, the ruins, the war memorial etc, it just has so much to offer. Certainly one of my favourite parts of Leicester.
Okay, so there’s a lot of photos for an (830 acre) English park, but I can’t quite describe how much I love this place. I hope these photos do it some justice, especially since this was the greenest most dense, even healthy looking I’ve ever seen it in the past few years!
We only took Woody on this walk since we tend to walk around Bradgate for around three hours and Millie is getting older and can’t hack the walks as much. Whereas Woody is a crazy half mountain goat, legs filled with springs kinda thing!
