Meet Martha

So I don’t know if you follow me on Instagram, but if you do, it won’t be a secret that I just got another puppy!

Yes it is true, I am the crazy dog lady. I’ve never lived my life without a dog and have had a few over the years but currently we have an American Cocker Spaniel called Millie, a Cockapoo called Woody and now a Clumberdoodle called Martha!

A Clumberdoodle is a cross between a Clumber Spaniel and a Poodle and are meant to be really relaxed breeds with a kind temperement, kind of like our American and a lot less crazy than the Cockapoo.

We bought Martha from Polycinders, a specialist breeder in Devon and if you’re looking for a Clumberdoodle/Cockapoo, I’d certainly recommend checking these guys out! We’d been on the waiting list for a chocolate and white clumberdoodle for around a year and it’s safe to say, she was certainly worth the wait!

For the first time ever, we purchased a heartbeat teddy for her to help her settle in, and having it for the car ride home was amazing. If you’re looking into buying a puppy, I’d definitely recommend one to help ease car sickness and settling in at home. We bought ours from a pet store in our town but you can also find them here. A small investment but totally worth it considering Devon is a three hour drive from where I live and Martha slept pretty much the entire way!

Anyway, without further ado here are all the puppy pictures!

These are from when we drove to Devon when the puppies were around five weeks old, as we had first pick of the litter. It’s actually more difficult than you’d imagine to pick which dog you want, but we chose Miss red collar!

These are later photos taken by the breeder.

And finally when we were allowed to pick her up! There was a lot of deliberation over her name as the ones we had originally chosen didn’t suit her once we’d met her. We finally decided on Maisie but even then it wasn’t 100% and finally in the car on the way home with her, it was Martha that won!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask and in a few months, I’ll probably have a pupdate for you!
